Meet the Teaching Staff

Our teaching staff are highly trained and experienced. Performance and teaching are both skills which need continual development, which is why you will find them all regularly performing  and developing their skills.

Tristan Carter

Tristan trained in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting, has a Theatre Studies Degree from Rose Bruford University and a Teaching Diploma from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Tristan is the co-founder and Head of Acting at Curtain Up Theatre School Ltd, the largest independent theatre school in Bath where he teaches acting and directs the theatre school productions. He has been a registered LAMDA teacher for twelve years successfully tutoring students through performance, musical theatre and communication exams for LAMDA and Trinity Guildhall from Entry grade to grade 8 as well as training for festival participation and NYT or drama school auditions. Tristan teaches both privately and in two local secondary schools.

Emma Boden

Since graduating with a music degree from Bath Spa University in 2007 Emma has made Bath her home and has got well and truly involved with the Bath music scene.

Emma sings regularly with local groups and choirs (Bath Light Operatic Group, Noctis Chamber Choir and The Bath Chorus) as a soloist and ensemble member.  At university, Emma studied classical singing with international soprano Rosa Mannion, and when she can still has lessons with her.  In addition to lots (and lots!) of singing Emma has been running a busy piano and singing practice for the past seven years, her pupils have achieved excellent results in both the Trinity Guildhall and ABRSM grades, as well as taking part and being placed at the Midsomerset Festival, many of her pupils also take part in shows for groups in the local area.
Emma is currently working towards her ABRSM LRSM Diploma in classical singing.
